Troubleshooting Guide

 

 

1 Check Keyword

 

Check to see if you hav used the correct keyword SPLAT and only included the keyword in the body of the message. Spaces, misspellings and supplementary information will result in texts not be recognised by our system.

 

4 Text 503000

 

Check to see if the text has been sent to 50300. Texts can only be processed if they are sent to this code. Donors sometimes send texts to 57666 which is the number we send reply messages from. Texts to 57666 or any other shortcode will not be recognised by our system.

 

 

3 Check Network

 

Ensure that there are no issues with the your network provider. You need to have enough credit/have paid their bill in order for donations to be processed. Donations can only be processed for mobiles in the Republic of Ireland and for the following networks: Vodafone, O2, Meteor, Three and Tesco. Some networks process donations in amounts of €2. E.g. For a €4 keyword, donors may receive two receipt messages from their network provider. Some phones block duplicate messages and donors may only receive one message. The message will usually say (1 of 2).

2 Check Time

 

Check that you have not tried to donate more than once per keyword in a 24 hour period. Donors will only be charged for the first donation in any 24 hour period even if multiple attempts were made. This is to insure that no donor accidentally donates more times than intended.
